Laying In This Meadow

Laying here in this meadow
hearing the rhymes of birds singing
Watching deer graze in the grass near by
seeing all the little critters roll and play
laying back in the grass looking up at the sky
seeing white clouds of all shapes and sizes
makes me use my imagination

using all my senses hearing, smelling, seeing, feeling
trying to connect with the wilderness around me
I see rabbits hopping all about
hear birds singing in the trees above me
smelling all these wild flowers around me
feeling the gentleness of the grasses near me

seeing the breeze blow the fall leafs
from the top of the trees
seeing the clouds move slowly with the
sun beaming on my skin giving me a tan
laying here in this grass closing my eyes and just
taking in all that is around me
this relaxes me in the wilderness where nothing
isn't impossible but possible
a little frog comes and hops on to my lap and makes a croak
and I say I'm glad to lay here in this meadow all around me

Not Calling Back

Yo I came across your FB page, I messaged you many times but you never replied, It's like you were pushing me away and then you blocked me anyways

I went on FB saw your post, you mentioned how it's been nearly a year since your dad past but none of y'all tried to make contact to let me know Granddad was sick with Cancer, he was diagnosed June 7- Past June 10, 2011 but here I was six days later 18 then knowing it was legal to make contact but even with that fact y'all didn't begin to try to call to let me know

Here it is going on two years now since he past, and there is no trace of where he lays to rest which leaves me to guess Nana had him cremated like she did her dog and maybe even her cats

Here I'm standing strong living life trying to make since of all this shit but over all I'm still tall and even strong after all y'all did

I'm not giving up I'm looking forward and dreaming will be a family as we once were but damn that's 12 years gone now, I keep the hope and I believe you'll look deep and y'all be like damn where's Brittaney?
